Visitor welcome and introduction

All service or production locations worldwide are required to greet their visitors with an introduction to safety requirements.
The safety mascot guides the visitors through the facility and explains in a friendly and informative manner. Local safety regulations had to be met and with the help of AI, the safety mascot is able to convey the message in 16 languages, including European and Asian languages.

Challenge

• The existing PowerPoint presentation was of low quality, outdated, did not match other safety-related material and was therefore no longer viable.
• Each location had recorded their own individual voice over with low audio quality.

Approach

• Analysis of previous material and creation of overview of all required scenes
• An international team of safety experts checked, added to, and selected their specific local requirements
• Developed a modular system of individual scenes which can be translated and combined as needed for each country / location

Result

• The safety mascot which had previously been established within the company was animated for these videos, and a suitable voice was cast for the English version.
• AI software and voice cloning was used to generate audio for the remaining 15 languages, in keeping with the sound and tone of the original voice. The generated voiceovers were proofread and edited by native speakers to iron out small mistakes in pronounciation and speed.
• Final videos were edited and assembled according to the locations specific requirements, in total 22 versions.
